"That's why you don't get a microphone at weddings" with Joel Nowacki of Track 7 DJ
This week we got to sit down with one of our favorites in the wedding industry, Joel Nowacki, the owner at Track Seven DJ.
Joel is a long time friend as well as a true wedding pro with over 2,000 weddings under his belt. We are so grateful for his wisdom and his encouragement throughout this conversation.
Here is his advice for all couples planning a wedding and preparing for marriage:
1 - Take care of the big stuff first! Venue, photographer/videographer, DJ.
2 - TRUST your vendor team! You hired professionals for a reason. Let your vendors take the stress and pressure off of you.
3 – Be in the moment, every moment. (Along with trusting your vendors) The day will fly by. Be present for it and don’t stress about the timeline.
4 – Make sure that you hire an established team of professionals who have been in the industry for a while. Ask each vendor who they recommend. Vendors who work well together already will ensure a seamless event. As a DJ, I will always differ to the planner or photographer’s timeline. Your wedding should never be about your DJ or any one vendor. While we all have different but equally important roles, all your vendors need to work as one well-oiled machine. No one should let their ego take over.
5 – A “private” last dance is a very intimate event. If you’re doing an end of the night send off, consider having your DJ direct all the guests out of the reception site so you can enjoy your last dance of the night in private. It’s a very special moment.
If you are in need of a DJ for your wedding, Joel and his team would be honored to work with you. Head to their website track7dj.com to connect with them!
